ASA24 and ACT24 are data collection tools managed in the United States. What does this mean for my data and privacy?
The only information collected by the ASA24 (past 24 hour diet recall) and ACT24 (past 24 hour activity recall) tools is your food and beverage intake and your daily activities. The organizations that host these tools will never be given your name, and they will not receive any information that identifies you.
The information collected by these tools is managed by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the USA; a copy will be stored and used for research and quality assurance purposes. The NCI uses organizations in the United States (Westat and Information Management Services) to manage these tools.
This information will be compiled and held by ATP and used by Canadian researchers.
